One of the most exciting moments of the night was watching our first-place winners see their writing brought to life as a book of their ownāan unforgettable experience for these young authors. In addition, our SEVEN region winners were honored with trophies in recognition of their exceptional accomplishments.
Judging by the promise shown in their work, itās not hard to imagine some of these authors appearing on future best-seller lists one day! š

During the luncheon, our seniors were recognized for their commitment to education and their determination to succeed. This incredible honor reflects her passion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to serving our students. Every day, Mrs. Carr goes above and beyond to ensure our cafeterias are welcoming spaces where students are nourished, cared for, and encouraged to develop healthy habits. From supporting her staff to leading innovative programs across the district, her impact reaches far beyond the lunch line.

From an early morning arrival to a full schedule of meaningful conversations, the visit highlighted the incredible work happening across our district. Guests were welcomed by our Superintendent and CTAE Director, setting the tone for a day centered on collaboration and excellence. Mr. Abney, our Science Department Chair, provided the introduction and avenue for this guest speaker opportunity.
Our recently named Georgia Nutrition Director of the Year, Teena Carr, shared insights on our innovative harvesting initiative and the many opportunities it creates for cross-curricular learning. A special highlight of the day was meeting student leader Coreyona Farley, an Education as a Profession Apprenticeship participant and member of both the State and District Superintendent Advisory Boardsātruly representing the bright future of teaching.
Mrs. Kinsaul led an engaging guest speaker session, where students explored their own personalities and gained valuable skills for working effectively with others.

The Superintendent Student Advisory Council is open to any PCCSS middle and high school student interested in developing leadership skills while collaborating with district leadership on topics that matter most to students. A wellārounded and dedicated student, Jade has been actively involved throughout all four years of high school. Her impressive commitments include participation in the wrestling program, cross country team, track, and serving with the football film crew, along with involvement in school organizations such as Beta Club, National Honor Society, Partners Club, and Key Club, to name just a few.
