A huge THANK YOU to the Georgia Association of School Business Officials (GASBO) for believing in and investing in student talent! Because of their support, one of our very own 10th grade Putnam County High School students, Camille Alvarez, was given the amazing opportunity to design this yearās conference logo.

⢠Lila Langford, Putnam County Elementary School
⢠Trinity Martin, Putnam County Middle School
⢠Kenzie Nelson, Putnam County High School
These students have gone above and beyond to represent their schools with excellence, leadership, and character. We are so proud of each of you!
We also had the pleasure of hearing from student representatives from each of our recent class trips. Freshmen shared highlights from their tour of St. Augustine, Florida, sophomores recounted their visit to Washington, D.C., and juniors reflected on their incredible experience in Italy. It was inspiring to hear what they learned and to gain their perspective on just how meaningful these real-life learning opportunities are. They even surprised the Board and Superintendent Austin with tokens of appreciation for making these trips possible! āļø

The Putnam County High School Chorus & Piano delighted friends, family, and staff during this afternoonās Spring Piano Recital. Throughout the semester, students dedicated themselves to developing both their musical and technical skills as they prepared their selected pieces.
For many performers, this recital marked their very first experience learning piano, while others continued building on previous success. Notably, Kasia Reid and Javien Hudson proudly performed in their third recital, successfully completing their Piano Pathway.
The performance was a beautiful showcase of growth, dedication, and the power of music education. We are #PutnamProud of these students and the lasting impact the arts continue to have on all learners at Putnam County High School. To view all the performers from today, please check out the District's Facebook page.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting our annual Honor Graduate Luncheon at Putnam County High Schoolāan important and meaningful tradition that celebrates both achievement and connection. This special event brings together our graduating honor students with Superintendent Austin and Board of Education Chairman Dr. Weiner for a shared meal and conversation.
More than just a celebration of academic excellence, this luncheon highlights the value we place on student voice. Superintendent Austin and Dr. Weiner intentionally create this space each year to listen directly to our studentsāhearing firsthand what made their experience in the Putnam County School System impactful and memorable, as well as where we have opportunities to grow.
These conversations are invaluable. They not only affirm the programs, educators, and experiences that have shaped our studentsā success but also provide thoughtful insight that helps guide future decisions. By engaging with our honor graduates in this way, district leadership reinforces a culture of respect, reflection, and continuous improvement.
This tradition reminds us that our students are not only recipients of education, but essential partners in shaping its futureāand their voices truly matter.

The culmination of Putnam County High School's Service Leadership class is not merely an academic checkpoint, but a profound display of personal growth, community impact, and leadership evolution. Last night, students gathered at the Plaza Arts Center to present their individual leadership mission, vision, and value statements before an audience of nearly 100 guests, including school and district administrators, faculty, families, and community supporters. The evening served as both a celebration and a reflection of the transformative journey these students have experienced throughout the school year.
The significance of this culminating event was deepened by the studentsā commitment to service, as members of the class collectively completed nearly 100 hours of service through meaningful projects and initiatives designed to strengthen both their school and surrounding community. More than simply a presentation, the event marked a milestone in each studentās development as a servant leader prepared to make a lasting impact beyond the classroom.
The eveningās theme centered around an Eastern tradition of embodying thankfulness and gratitude; the idea that gratitude is not simply spoken, but lived through action, remembrance, and service to others. Students were encouraged to not only say āthank you,ā but to āBECOME the thank youā through the way they lead, serve, and care for others in their daily lives.
The event was catered by China Wok, further creating an atmosphere of community, appreciation, and celebration. Through sharing their stories, reflections, and leadership philosophies, students inspired not only their peers, but the broader community as well, reinforcing the belief that leadership and service are inseparable paths toward both personal and communal growth.

What started as a fun Teacher Talent Show at Putnam County Primary School quickly turned into a heartfelt and unforgettable farewell for Principal Dr. Fanicia Rogers. Our incredible teachers and staff poured so much love into this special surpriseāwelcoming Dr. Rogersā family, entertaining the entire school, and creating a moment she will never forget.
From the kind words shared to the beautifully written and performed song, it was clear just how deeply Dr. Rogers has impacted the PCPS community. Her leadership, care, and dedication have left a lasting mark on students, staff, and families alike.
Dr. Rogers, you will be missed more than words can say, but your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know you.
