PCCSS is proud to be one of the only school districts in Georgia offering agriculture education from kindergarten through 12th grade. This long-term investment gives our students hands-on learning experiences that build real-world skills, problem‑solving abilities, and a strong work ethic from an early age.
And we haven’t stopped there. Our district continues to expand agricultural learning beyond the classroom through our Nutrition Department’s hydroponic farms and beef cattle production for school consumption. These programs not only teach students where their food comes from—they actively help feed our schools with fresh, locally produced ingredients.
Why does K–12 ag education matter?
🌾 Stronger student engagement: Students learn science, technology, engineering, and math through real, tangible experiences.
🚜 Career readiness: From ag mechanics to veterinary science, students explore high‑demand career pathways.
🍎 Healthier school communities: Farm‑to‑school efforts provide fresher food options and promote lifelong wellness.
🤝 Community impact: Our programs support local agriculture, build workforce skills, and inspire the next generation of agricultural leaders.
At PCCSS, agriculture isn’t just a class—it’s a cornerstone of our culture, our community, and our commitment to students. We’re excited to share a look inside our classrooms and programs, CLICK HERE to watch the full video.
