The Putnam County Board of Education intends to opt out of the statewide adjusted base year ad valorem homestead exemption for Putnam County School District. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this matter to be held at Putnam County Board of Education, 158 Old Glenwood Springs Road, Eatonton, GA 31024, on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 6:00 pm.

Putnam County School Board Opts Out of House Bill 581 (Eatonton, GA) –The Putnam County Board of Education intends to opt out of the House Bill 581, the statewide adjusted base year ad valorem homestead exemption, that goes into law on January 1, 2025. The Board will hold three public hearings on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 6:00 pm, Monday, January 27, 2025, at 5:00 pm and Monday, February 10, 2025, at 5:00 pm.
