  • Mrs. Diane Bledsoe

    Head Start Fiscal Officer, Diane Bledsoe, was born and raised in England.  She has a degree in Business Management and a degree in Education.  She taught for a number of years in England, Spain and Sweden before joining an airline and moving to Bahrain.  She spent the next 9 years traveling the world, during which time she met her first husband, Dave, a British Airways pilot.  They fell in love with Georgia and bought a house to use during their vacations and more after they retired.  Following Dave's sudden and expected death in 1996, Diane decided to move to Georgia on a permanent basis.  She joined he Putnam County School System in October 2001 and the Head Start Family in 2003. She has remarried, her husband, Ike, is a longtime resident of Putnam County.  In their spare time they rescue, rehabilitate  and re-home stray cats and dogs.  Diane was proud to become a US citizen in 2006.  She says she has found the perfect job for her,  working with children and numbers in an excellent Head Start Program.

  • Ms. Wesley Horne

    My name is Wesley Horne; I am a Family Service Worker for Putnam County Head Start. I have an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood. I am the youngest of five children. I have three grown children and three grandchildren. I have been working for Putnam County Head Star for 33 years. I enjoy traveling with my friend Constance, shopping with friends, and home improvement projects. One of my favorite projects is working in my flower beds, and learning new things on my computer. I look forward to retirement for further traveling and seeing the world.

  • Mrs. Christel Nelson-Walker

    My name is Christel Nelson-Walker I am the Education Manager/PreK Site Supervisor for Putnam County Head Start. I have been employed with Putnam County Head Start for 23-years in several different positions over the years. I am from a large family of 3-brothers and 5-sisters. The love of my life is my 7-year old blessing “Wesley”.  I love being a part of the Putnam County Head Start Program. The program has been successful in teaching children and empowering families for over 47-years.   I hold degrees from the following institutions: an Masters of Education from Grand Canyon University,  a Bachelors of   Science in Family and Consumer Science /Child Development from Fort Valley State University, and a Associate’ s Degree from Central Georgia Technical College in Early Childhood Care and Education. In my spare time I enjoy family and friends, scrap-booking, decorating, taking pictures and most of all helping others.

  • Mrs. Sandra D. Riely

    Hi, my name is Sandra D. Riley. I work at Putnam County Head Start as a Family Service Worker and Nutrition Specialist. I was born in Eatonton, Ga.  I am married to Tommy Riley and have one son Correy.  I attended my schooling middle and high in Boston, Massachusetts, graduated class of 1982 school year. Living in Boston was a great experience for me I moved back home in 1989. In 1991 , starting working at Head Start where I received my (CDA) Childhood Development Associate Certificate also my Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, also some Training course with Macon State College in Early Education.  I enjoy working with children we learn from each other in my experience no one day is the same. My favorite things to do are shopping, watching sports and outdoors and I love walking as a special past time.   • Ms. Carolyn Peters

    Carolyn Peters is the oldest daughter of Mrs. Louvenia Hudson and the late Mr. Volgia Hudson, Jr. She has one brother William and one sister Iva. She is the mother of three grown children Shannon, Tamara and Marvin Peters. She has seven grandchildren which she enjoy spending time with. Her hobbies are reading, cooking, traveling and going shopping. She’s been employed at Head Start about 26 years and received her CDA in 1993 and AA degree in 2005. Mrs. Peters enjoys working with the children and staff.
