    Michael Smith is Prinicpal Lollis' Student of the Month for March.
  • PCHS students win Manufactoring Awareness design contest

    Mrs. Barlow's art students recently participated in the Manufacturing Awareness Student Design Contest in collaboration with Central Georgia Technical College.  The purpose of the contest was to promote awareness of the important role manufacturing plays in the economy of the state of Georgia. There were a total of 74 submissions in the state of Georgia.  Putnam County High School has some local winners.  Pictured in the attached photo is the art teacher, Paige Barlow, William Tyree Nelson - 1st place winner, Amelia Lopez - 2nd place winner, and Victoria Sanchez - 3rd place winner.  The students received certificates and CGTC promotional gifts. 
  • PCHS Girls Basketball Team Make the Final 4!

    Congratulations to the PCHS Varsity Girls Basketball Team for making it to the Final Four!  They will be playing Kendrick High School this Saturday, March 1st at 3:00 PM at Columbus State University.
  • PCHS Science Teacher Katherine Reid wins Bright Ideas Grant

    Mrs. Reid was awarded funding through Tri-County EMC’s bright ideas grant. Grant money will go to supplement technology, Lego NXT Bricks specifically, currently being used in Mrs. Wade’s classes. The new technology will include science probeware that Environmental Science students will use to collect data during field experiments. The Lego NXT Bricks will serve as the data collection component for the information the probes collect during the field investigations.
  • Sam Silva Scores 100th Soccer Goal

    Sam Silva is a senior soccer player at Putnam County High School received the game ball for reaching her career 100th goal vs. Jefferson County.

    The Briar Patch Arts Festival was a success as a partnership with the Eatonton Mainstreet, The Eatonton Putnam Arts Foundation, and the Cemetery Tour Committee!  The event included community mural, face painting, and the silent auction at the Cemetery Tour.

    Congratulations to the FFA Show team for a great weekend in Gwinnett County with SIX 1st place wins.

Athletic Physicals
What: Athletic Physicals
Who: All Putnam County High and Middle School Athletes
Where: PCMS Gym
When: April 26th, 2014 9am-12pm
Costs: $10 CASH ONLY
Physicals will be conducted by Oconee Orthopedics at a cost of $10 per athlete. Students must have the County Physical form signed by a parent to participate in the physical day. Physicals will be valid until the end of the 2014-2015 school year

PCHS Literary Awards!
We are so excited about our Literary Team!  We received 1st place in the region with a score of 48 points.  The second place team had 33 points.  Special Thanks to all Putnam County staff and administration for your help and support!  Special thanks to Mr. Beckwith, Erin Echols, Amy Kennedy, Emily Gibson, and ROTC students for helping the day run smoothly.  Some of these students will be sporting their medals tomorrow!  Come on by and check out the trophy in the office! :)
